This 11.99-metre long boat represents a well-targeted choice both for those who mainly aim for speed and for those who make comfort on board the categorical imperative. After all, we are talking about a sailboat that over the years has won many regattas in its class in the Mediterranean Sea. Performance, therefore, is Grand Soleil 40's best calling card, but they don't steal the show from the elegance of a boat of great appeal and proven functionality and comfort. Ideal for long cruises, this famous Donald Duck model draws maximum comfort from the space available. The deckhouse represents the right compromise to ensure sufficient internal volumes of space without sacrificing the aesthetics of the external lines. The large sprayhood protects from the sun and from the spray that can come when sailing in rough seas. The large awning provides shade during the hottest days of the Mediterranean summer. The cockpit has generous dimensions, especially in width. The transom, conceived in an essential way, offers a good floor surface. The teak deck gives charm and beauty to this fantastic boat. Once past the hatchway, a refined environment is immediately noticed below deck and, as in all Grand Soleils, the interior design boasts an excellent level of quality. The furnishings are made with quality materials and, in accordance with the traditional style of the Cantiere del Pardo, most of the coverings are in wood. The folding dinette guarantees additional space in the living room. The bow cabin with bathroom and shower offers a welcoming space: the bed has the head forward. Even the aft cabin, thanks to the large double bed, guarantees comfort that only a larger boat can offer. At the stern, next to the comfortable galley we find the second bathroom with shower. The boat is equipped with Webasto heating in all internal areas, a watermaker and a boiler for hot water. The boat is fitted with a 40 HP Yanmar engine with Saildrive and folding propeller which allows the boat to reach a cruising speed of around 7 knots. Quest'imbarcazione lunga 11,99 metri rappresenta una scelta ben mirata sia per chi punta principalmente alla velocità, sia per chi fa della comodità a bordo l’imperativo categorico. Del resto, stiamo parlando di una barca a vela che negli anni ha vinto moltissime regate nella sua classe nel Mar Mediterraneo. Le prestazioni, quindi, sono il miglior biglietto da visita di Grand Soleil 40, ma non rubano la scena all’eleganza di un’imbarcazione di grande appeal e di comprovata funzionalità e comodità. Ideale per lunghe crociere, questo famoso modello di Paperini trae il massimo del comfort dagli spazi a disposizione. La tuga rappresenta il giusto compromesso per garantire internamente sufficienti volumi di spazio senza sacrificare l’estetica delle linee esterne. L’ampio sprayhood, protegge dal sole e dagli spruzzi che possono arrivare navigando con mare formato. Il grande tendalino regala ombra durante le giornate più clade dell'estate mediterranea. Il pozzetto ha dimensioni generose, soprattutto in larghezza. Lo specchio di poppa, concepito in modo essenziale, offre un buon piano calpestabile. Il ponte in teak dona fascino e bellezza a questa fantastica barca. Una volta superato il tambuccio, sotto coperta si nota subito un ambiente raffinato e, come in tutti i Grand Soleil, il design interno vanta un ottimo livello qualitativo. Gli arredi, sono realizzati con materiali di pregio e, come vuole lo stile tradizionale del Cantiere del Pardo, la maggior parte dei rivestimenti è in legno. La dinette abbattibile garantisce spazio ulteriore nel salotto. La cabina di prua con bagno e doccia offre uno spazio accogliente: il letto ha la testata in avanti. Anche la cabina di poppa, grazie all'ampio letto matrimoniale, garantisce una comodità che solo una barca di maggiori dimensioni può offrire. A poppa, affianco alla comoda cucina troviamo il secondo bagno con doccia. La barca è dotata di riscaldamento Webasto in tutte le zone interne, di dissalatore e boiler per l'acqua calda. L'imbarcazione monta un motore Yanmar da 40 HP con Saildrive e elica a pale abbattibili che fa raggiungere alla barca una velocità di crociera di circa 7 nodi. Il piano velico è molto generoso, grazie anche all'albero maggiorato e offre ottime prestazioni anche con poco vento.
