Rimini 51 is an ocean-going ketch that carries out dry dock every year with ordinary and extraordinary maintenance interventions. The rigging was entirely replaced in 2024. The vessel is suitable for long and short cruises in absolute comfort but also gives satisfaction to sailing lovers due to its excellent beam performance, despite its size. The double engine makes Le Gitan - Rimini 51 - a safer boat than 90% of single engine sailboats. The large dinette, with floor and windows raised above the main deck, makes this boat bright and comfortable, especially for ladies. Pleasure unit designed to live like in a home. Four internal bathrooms make this Ketch as comfortable as a catamaran, with the advantage of better sea and wind resistance. The skipper's cabin, with its own bathroom, is independent from the rest of the rooms. The tanks can take on board up to 2000 liters of water and 1000 of diesel, making this boat capable of tackling long offshore cruises independently. “Le Gitan” was built in 1980 by the Moschini shipyard in Fano, commissioned by Adria Yacht, now the Azimut group. Launched in 1981, it was designed by long-time seafarers, friends of the great Carlo Sciarrelli, the greatest Italian sailing boat designer, with the aim of creating a large ocean cruiser, entirely built according to the canons of the Italian maritime tradition. "Le Gitan" is based in Fiumara Grande (Rome-Fiumicino), where the Tiber river flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea. Isola Sacra and the Tiber were a landing place for the ancient Romans for centuries. The boat is located in the natural dock of the Blue Dolphin Marina, which hosts 100 boats up to 30 meters. Nearby there is an efficient shipyard and all the essential land services: restaurant, bar, bathrooms with showers and parking. The mooring is on the islet of Tor Boacciana, in the center of the Tiber river, an evocative nature reserve protected by the presence of herons, cormorants and wild ducks. Ideal if you love living in a less artificial environment than the classic concrete marinas and having greater privacy, in contact with the beauty and harmony of nature. The landing place is located 10 hours south of the Pontine archipelago, therefore from the islands of Ponza and Palmarola. L'imbarcazione è adatta alle lunghe e brevi crociere in assoluto confort ma regala soddisfazione anche agli amanti della vela per le ottime prestazioni al traverso, nonostante la stazza. La doppia motorizzazione rende Le Gitan - Rimini 51 - una barca più sicura del 90% delle barche a vela mono motore. L'ampia dinette, con piano e vetrate rialzate rispetto al ponte di coperta, rende questa barca luminosa e confortevole soprattutto per le signore. Unità da diporto progettata per vivere come in una casa. Quattro bagni interni rendono questo Ketch confortevole come un catamarano, con il vantaggio di una migliore tenuta del mare e del vento. La cabina dello skipper, con bagno proprio, è indipendente dal resto degli ambienti. I serbatoi possono imbarcare fino a 2000 litri di acqua e 1000 di gasolio, rendendo questa barca in grado di affrontare anche lunghe crociere d'altura in autonomia. “Le Gitan” è stato costruito nel 1980 dal cantiere Moschini di Fano, su commissione di Adria Yacht, oggi gruppo Azimut. Varato nel 1981, fu ideato da uomini di mare di lungo, amici del grande Carlo Sciarrelli, il più grande progettista di barche a vela italiano, con lo scopo di creare un grande cruiser oceanico, interamente costruito secondo i canoni della tradizione marinara italiana. "Le Gitan" ha base a Fiumara Grande (Roma-Fiumicino), dove il fiume Tevere sfocia nel mar Tirreno. Isola Sacra e il Tevere sono stati per secoli approdo degli antichi romani. La barca si trova nella darsena naturale della Marina Blue Dolphin, che ospita 100 imbarcazioni fino a 30 metri. Nei pressi ci sono un efficiente Cantiere nautico e tutti i servizi di terra essenziali: ristorante, bar, bagni con docce e parcheggi. L'ormeggio è sull’isolotto di Tor Boacciana, al centro del fiume Tevere, suggestiva riserva naturalistica protetta per la presenza di aironi, cormorani e anatre selvatiche. Ideale se ami vivere un ambiente meno artificiale dei classici marina in cemento e avere una maggiore privacy, a contatto con la bellezza e l'armonia della natura. L’approdo si trova a 10 ore di navigazione Sud dall'arcipelago delle Pontine, quindi dall'Isola di Ponza e di Palmarola. Palmarola è una delle Isole più belle e selvagge del Mar Mediterraneo, con rade dal risveglio mozzafiato e un famosissimo ristorante, "il Francese", raggiungibile solo in barca. A dieci ore di navigazione verso Nord si raggiunge invece il Promontorio dell'Argentario, uno dei luoghi più belli della Toscana, con i caratteristici approdi di Porto Santo Stefano, Porte Ercole e Porto Giglio, sull'Isola del Giglio. A poche miglia dal Giglio si può raggiungere poi la leggendaria isola di Montecristo (Riserva naturale raggiungibile solo dietro prenotazione e autorizzazione), dove lo Alexander Dumas ambientò il suo bestseller "Il Conte di Montescristo". Per gli amanti delle crociere d'altura, e per chi ha più tempo a disposizione, con 20 ore di navigazione si raggiunge la regina delle Isole italiane, la Sardegna, con le sue spiagge e i suoi fondali che non hanno eguali nel mondo. Le Gitan è una barca per chi ama la tradizione costruttiva e gli scafi classici costruiti su misura del diportista con famiglia numerosa, o per gruppo di amici che preferiscono navigare a vela senza però rinunciare alla comodità delle barche a motore.
