Hiring a boat on SamBoat is easy, you just have to search for a boat according to your criteria (destination, type of boat, date, number of passengers, with or without skipper...) and select the boat of your choice.

See something you like? You can book online and discuss with the boat owner to arrange the perfect trip at sea!
The rental rate is set freely by the boat owner. This rate depends on the type of boat, its size and the season.

On average, a motorboat rental costs about 300 euros per day (excluding fuel). A sailboat is generally rented by the week, it is necessary to count on average 2 400 € for a monohull and 4 300 € for a catamaran.

If you want a skipper, it will cost you on average 200 € per day. Fuel is also often extra.
  • If you do not have a license, it is possible to rent a boat with a skipper. The skipper will be responsible for steering the boat and taking you to the best sailing spots.
  • If you rent a motorboat without a skipper, you must have a boat license in most destinations.
  • To rent a sailboat, some countries require a license and others don't. Please check before renting
A boating license may be required depending on the country and the boat hired.
The amount of the boat deposit is set freely by the owner depending on the type of boat. The deposit is used to pay for damage to the boat, the insurance excess or any damage suffered by the owner. The deposit can be managed freely by the owner directly or via SamBoat.

In addition, SamBoat offers various optional insurances: cancellation insurance and deposit insurance.
To offer your boat for rent on SamBoat, you just have to create an account and then deposit your listing by filling out the form. Submitting a listing is totally free and without obligation. You can modify or delete your listing at any time in the "My Boats" tab. A dedicated team is available to assist you by phone and email.
