Great boating day trip with Almarojo on the Costa Brava. He took us to lovely scenic spots. His boat is spacious and has a good amount of shade, lots of equipment for snorkelling and water fun, fridges for cold drinks. We will be back!

What a great experience with Paulino and his sons. Easy check-in on the day where everything was explained and clearly showed us where we could and couldn’t go. All the stops were easy to find on their boat GPS with relevant anchor stops. Lovely boat with shade and cooler box. We took our own lunch from the Es Grau supermarket along with some ice for the cooler box. We actually booked the boat for a couple of days later and Paulino got in touch to say the wind and seas are likely to get worse so offered us to go earlier in the week, thank goodness we did. Would 100% recommend and if we come back to Menorca, we’ll definitely be giving Paulino another call. Thanks from all my family for the great experience.

Martin's boat was exactly as advertised, and he was a great skipper for our group of 10. Communication before the rental was excellent. We had a nice afternoon sailing to a beach where we could swim and relax. I would highly recommend!

WOW WOW WOW From the start of the enquiring to the day we were arriving the communication was perfect, questions were answered with in an hour and also very clear. On arrival we were greeted by 2 members of staff who were very pleasant throughout the whole trip ! The staff could not do enough for us and gave good advice on what journey to take. On our journey back we saw Dolphins which we were all very excited about, they slowed the boat down so we could get a good look, take photos and have a wonderful experience watching the them. I would recommend this boat 100% and will definitely book again if we return back to Ibiza. We can't Thank You all enough for a fantastic trip especially as we were celebrating a special Birthday.

From start to finish we had a great day - Jousou was a wonderful captain and we very much enjoyed his company and sailing experience. Gentle sail over to Formentera and managed to secure us a booking for lunch at Tanga. Couldn't have asked for more. Communication from the charter service was excellent and pick up location easy to find. Would have happily stayed on board for the rest of the week. Next year would love to spend a few days sailing around Ibiza.

The boat trip was great! Alvaro was very communicative and clear on meeting instructions. The boat was fab and had everything we needed for our trip. Stopped off at two very refreshing swimming spots. I’d absolutely go on a trip again with Alvaro on this boat. Everyone loved it

We had another fantastic day out on the water. Our skipper was excellent—friendly, highly experienced, and extremely knowledgeable about the boat, handling it with complete confidence and making us feel safe and relaxed throughout the day. He also knew the local area very well and chose a superb route that made the most of the coastline while avoiding the windier locations. We made the most of the water and lived having the paddle board as well. The boat itself was excellent, and spending a full day at sea was a real highlight of our holiday. This was our second trip with even better than the first. Would totally recommend this experience to anyone looking for a memorable day on the water and will definitely be back again.

Menorca is a beautiful island with superb anchorages both to the south and north. Be careful with a catamaran on the price of the buoys, we were a little surprised to pay €90 for a buoy facing Colom Island on the East.
Minorque est une ile magnifique avec des mouillages superbes tant au sud qu'au nord. Attention avec un cata sur le prix des bouées, nous avons été un peu surpris de payer 90 € pour une bouée face à l'Ile Colom sur l'Est.

Do I need a license to hire in Spain?

There are many factors to take into consideration when renting a boat in Spain. First, the type of license will depend on whether you're renting a motorboat or a sailboat. For motorboats, if the boat you wish to drive has more than 15hp and is more than 4 meters in length, you will need a license. If you are chartering a sailboat or a catamaran, you will need a license if the boat is over 5 meters in size.

If you feel you do not have enough experience or you have zero nautical experience, most boats will have the option of renting with a skipper. This way, you can either help with certain manoeuvres or you can just sit back and relax while the skipper captains the boat. Another plus side to having a skipper is that the majority are locals and they know the region like the back of their hand. Ask the skippers for suggestions on local restaurants and hidden coves for an even better sailing route.
