For spring and summer 2026, we will be cruising the Adriatic (from west to north, then east, and finally southeast – Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and western Greece) until July, before continuing on to central Greece in August and September. The AcquaMarina is a 40-foot (12-meter) Bavaria cruiser with three double cabins and two bathrooms (toilet, sink, and shower). Built in 2009 and completely refitted in 2016 for extended cruising, it features: additional batteries, solar panels, a seawater desalination system, an extra fuel tank, radar, and a rigid dinghy. The sails are from 2022. It can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. people on long journeys in the best safety conditions. For a day trip along the coast (picnic at sea), the maximum capacity is 9 people (children of any age are legally counted as one person). To ensure you have the most comfortable experience for a cruise (2 days to 2 weeks), your hosts Gilles and Marie limit their capacity to 4 people on board, occupying the two double cabins at the stern, each with a private bathroom. This is perfect for two couples or a family with 2 (or exceptionally 3) children. We value sharing and connection: for us, the boat is a way of life, not a rental investment. Therefore, our boat is only rented with the owner on board, never "bareboat." Food and drinks are not included in the rental price, but we can provision the boat according to your preferences, dietary requirements (vegan, kosher, gluten-free, halal, etc.), and any allergies. Gilles, the owner, is a certified coastal and offshore sailing instructor, and his presence and intimate knowledge of this boat, on which he has lived for six years, will reassure less experienced charterers. He can advise you on the sailing itinerary based on your preferences, the weather, and your abilities, and will be delighted to accompany you to the most beautiful and secluded spots he knows, at the most opportune moments to ensure you create unforgettable memories. Marie often joins him. She has extensive experience in long-distance sailing and life aboard, with over 48 months of sailing in 8 years (Transatlantic crossings, USA, Caribbean, Bahamas, Mediterranean), on various monohulls and catamarans. Marie provides a warm and attentive welcome, speaking English, French, Danish, and Italian. She ensures your comfort. She will offer helpful advice on all aspects of life on board, from provisioning and personal belongings to bring (or not), to treating minor injuries and organizing excursions and sightseeing tours. We recommend starting and ending your trip during the week rather than on Friday or Saturday, as the ports are crowded on weekends due to professional charter companies.
