Mahon is one of the most beautiful cities in the Balearic Islands. It is quite simply the capital of Menorca but much more in reality. It is located in the east of the island, 50 kilometres from Ciutadella. The city of Mahon offers many places to discover, it hosts the largest natural port in the Mediterranean. In fact, it is more than 6 kilometres long. Menorca has some magical places and the port of Mahon is one of them. The temperature in Mahon is on average around 20°C year round.

On average, the hottest months are July to September and July is the driest month and the coldest months are January to March. The climate is pleasant for a trip to Port Mahon from April to December, but most tourists visit the area during the high season in July and August.

In Mahon, you will need a boating certificate if:

• If you plan on navigating more than 6 miles away from the shelter

You will also have to provide a boating or nautical CV to show your previous sailing experiences.
