How to improve my acceptance rate?

Are you forced to turn down rentals because renter's requests cannot be met?
Your acceptance rate is declining, and you feel that the requests are not suitable?

There could well be information missing in your ad management.
Please find below some tips to improve your ad and filter your requests.

You refuse because :

  1. The renter does not have a boat licence
  2. The renter is requesting a rental for too short a period
  3. You don't have enough time to prepare the boat
  4. The renter wants to sail too far with your boat
  5. The renters are too many on board
  6. You do not accept the type of rental requested by the renter
  7. The renter wants to do water sports
  8. The renter negotiates the rate of your rental
  9. You can't do the handover
  10. Your boat is already rented
  11. You are using your boat
  12. Your boat has broken down
  13. Your boat is in a winterizing period

- The renter does not have a boat license:

1/ You can indicate in the tab "Description" in the text part that the driving of this boat requires a boating license.
2/ In the tab "Conditions" tick the box "the renter must have completed their sailing CV to make a request" you will be able to have access to the sailing history of this renter and know if they have a license or not.
3/ You can also remind the renter in the pre-booking information message located in the middle of the page of the "Conditions" tab.

- Your tenant requests a rental for a too short period of time

-> You can indicate in the tab " Rates " your minimum rental duration, from rental of slots (2 hours etc) to 2 weeks minimum.

- You do not have time to prepare the boat

-> You can indicate in the tab "Conditions" your advance notice, from the same day (to receive requests the same day of the requested rental) to at least 1 week before the rental. If you choose "1 week" you will only receive requests 1 week in advance so that you have time to prepare the boat for the rental.

- The renter wants to sail too far with your boat

-> You can indicate in the "Conditions" tab of your ad a pre-booking message that your renters will see once they have selected rental dates. You can write all your expectations and important information (example: This boat is unsuitable to go more than 10 miles (16 km) from the coast or to such a place).

- The renters are too many onboard

1/ You can indicate in the tab " Description " the maximum capacity of your boat, be careful to count the skipper in the number if the rental is only with skipper.
2/ Also in the tab " Conditions ", you can indicate a pre-booking message that your renters will see once they have selected the rental dates. You can write all your expectations and important information (example: This boat is not suitable for more than 10 people on board).

- You do not accept the type of rental requested by the renter

1/ You can indicate in the tab " Description " the type of rental you want to rent your boat. You have the choice and can choose several types of rental between bareboat, with skipper or with guide.
2/ You can repeat this information in your pre-booking message in the "Conditions" tab of your ad (example: "This boat can only be rented with a skipper - no matter how experienced you are").

- The renter wishes to do water sports

1/ You can indicate in the tab " Equipment " the main uses of your boat, with a maximum of 4 possible uses, if you do not want your boat to be used for water sports, make sure that this box is not selected.
2/ Then, you can remind the renter of this in your pre-booking message in the "Conditions" tab of your ad (example: This boat is not suitable for water sports).

- The renter negotiates the rate of your rental

-> You can set your rates in the tab " Rates ", it is possible that renters may ask you if these rates are fixed or negotiable. If you do not want to lower your rates, you can indicate it in your pre-booking message in the "Conditions" tab of your ad (example: The rates of this boat are not negotiable).

- You can't do the handover

- Your boat is already rented

-> You can indicate in the tab " Calendar " the availability and unavailability of your boat. In order to make your boat unavailable, you just have to click on the dates in question, then validate the unavailability of these dates. - You are using your boat

-> You can indicate in the tab "Calendar" the availability and unavailability of your boat. 2/ If the unavailability of your boat is likely to last, you can temporarily unpublish your ad from the "My boats" tab and select the reason "The boat is broken down/repaired". This will prevent you from having to refuse requests when your boat is not available.

- Your boat is in a winterizing period

-> You can indicate your wintering period in the "Calendar" tab by clicking on "+ Add a winterizing period" or if your boat is available all year long by checking "I do not winterize my boat". This will prevent you from having to refuse requests when your boat is in winter storage.
