The Sea Bird and Sea Star are modern custom-built yachts that combine space, comfort and authentic hospitality-at-sea for weekly live-aboard cruises and private charters around the inner Seychelles islands. Please note Sea Star and Sea Bird are sold as one product, we only know which one is cruising closer to date. The two vessels are closely similar in comfort, performance, services etc. The 40m Sea Star has three masts and five Bermuda sails. Both vessels serve as ideal platforms for discovering the islands’ most exclusive and hard to-reach places, from tiny granite islets to beautiful hidden coves. Weekly 7-nights cruises on Sea Bird & Sea Star are operated all year-round, with departures every SATURDAY, venturing throughout most of the inner island archipelago. This is an ideal option for individuals, couples and small families who seek the advantages of a yacht experience without bearing the costs of chartering an entire boat. There are 9 air-conditioned ensuite cabins -berths are: S.Y. Sea Star 4 double-bed cabins + 1 bunk 4 double-bed cabins 1 Master Cabin with double bed S.Y. Charters are available for up to 18 pax for groups of friends, family or executives who wish to discover the islands privately in their own way. A number of special niche programmes have been developed to cater for charter groups seeking a more specific activity to enjoy in the islands, such as sea kayaking, bird-watching, sport-fishing, cycling, hiking, diving and more. Cruises can be tailored to almost any special interest. During the South-east monsoon from May to October Sea Pearl cruises for 6 nights with embarkation on Saturdays and disembarkation on Fridays from Praslin Island SY Sea Star and SY Sea Bird cruises for 7 nights with embarkation on Saturdays and disembarkation on Saturdays from Mahe Island. During the north-west monsoon from November to April. SY Sea Star and SY Sea Bird cruises for 7 nights with embarkation on Saturdays and disembarkation on Saturdays from Mahe Island. DIVING Diving and snorkelling in the Seychelles reveal the best of the magical underwater world that the Indian Ocean has to offer. Unique granite boulder formations, coral reefs and wrecks are home to colourful tropical fish, turtles, sharks, rays and many other species. Some of the best dive sites in Seychelles' inner islands are easily accessible on our cruises. Each vessel has a dedicated PADI dive instructor onboard to accommodate the needs of both seasoned and novice divers alike. Introductory dives for first-timers and even PADI Open Water & Advanced Open Water courses can be conducted onboard. All vessels are equipped with two dive compressors, 18 cylinders + refills, weights, assorted wet suits (shorties) and 8 full diving sets for hire.
