What happens if I damage the boat during the rental?

If the boat is damaged during your charter period, we invite you to draw up a sea report in as much detail as possible and an amicable report (if there is a third party), as well as making a claim via the booking page.

If you are responsible for the damage, you will be debited the amount of the deposit. How is a claim managed?

 

Up until the day before the first day of your rental period, you can take out deposit buy-back insurance, which allows you to be reimbursed up to €5,000 in the event of a claim. 

With this insurance, you can benefit from a reduced pre-authorisation as part of a deposit managed by SamBoat. You will still be liable for 100% of the deposit in the event of a claim.
