The Digoin / Roanne Canal is a well hidden secret. Very few other boats. Amazingly friendly and helpful lock keepers, and excellent halt nautiques to stop at....for water, electric and spotless toilets. I was often, the only boat there.

we sailed on the Saone, the Doubs and the Rhone-Rhine Canal and the area is super nice.
The boat was nice to drive and easy.

The lake is magnificent and full of nice little spots, we highly recommend the Pèle waterfall
