Kriter was built in 1973 to compete in the first Whitbread Round the World Race, now called The Ocean Race (formerly the Volvo Ocean Race). She was designed by renowned French yacht designer Georges Auzepy-Brenneur and built by the prestigious Nautic Saintonge Yard in Saujone, France. Kriter was built in 1973 to compete in the first Whitbread Round the World Race, now called The Ocean Race (formerly the Volvo Ocean Race). She was designed by renowned French yacht designer Georges Auzepy-Brenneur and built by the prestigious Nautic Saintonge Yard in Saujone, France. Its name comes from its sponsor, the French champagne company "Kriter". She finished third linewide in the Whitbread and was subsequently refitted for use as a pleasure yacht by her owner. After the regatta she sailed in the Mediterranean Sea and later also in the West Indies. All traces of her were lost in the early 1980s. It was found abandoned in a Newport, Rhode Island construction site in the early 2000s but had to be completely restored. After another 3 years of restoration work from 2019 to 2022 she finally returns to sail in the Mediterranean. It is our family home and accordingly treated with a lot of love. Kriter comfortably accommodates 6-8 guests plus 2 crew in three double, one triple and one single cabin. There are a total of three bathrooms. This year we will be sailing mainly in Southern Sardinia and occasionally in Northern Sardinia and Southern Corsica. You can book day trips, weekends or whole weeks. Kriter ospita comodamente 6-8 ospiti più 2 membri dell'equipaggio in tre cabine doppie, una tripla e una singola. Ci sono un totale di tre bagni. Quest'anno navigheremo principalmente nel Sud Sardegna e occasionalmente nel Nord Sardegna e nel Sud della Corsica. Potete prenotare gite di un giorno, week-end o intere settimane.
