Couldn't recommend more! Valerio was so incredibly helpful from the beginning. Went above and beyond to help organise an affordable transfer for our group prior to the trip, as well was so responsive which was great. The actual boat day was so much fun, great staff, accommodating, food was just what we wanted - even had some cakes provided for birthdays. Not to mention it was super clean and the crew went beyond to make sure it stayed that way throughout. If you have one activity to do on your trip it's organise a boat day with valerio!

Unbelievable experience 3 days / 2 nights with Giuseppe on his Cat. We squeezed in Ischia, Positano, Capri and Vivara… ideally 1 or 2 more days but unfortunately our travel schedule didn’t allow it. Giuseppe is a very experienced captain, great cook (spag bol to die for) and such a great guy, we had many laughs. The boat very spacious and extremely comfortable. Highly highly recommended.

Plan for anchorages and chain, the ports are very expensive, up to €180 per night at the Stabia marina. Procida charmed us with its more authentic side.

Porto Venere was a highlight. As were all the secret swimming spots that Diego brought us to. There is so much to see in the general vicinity that we wouldn't have had to go as far as we did.

Fantastic experience, truly phenomenal output, Francesco and Giuseppe are two truly exquisite people, they always respond with kindness and a smile. They also offered us a nice substantial aperitif, even though we had a slight setback and were therefore half an hour late, they still let us do the agreed hours. We are already thinking about returning in a while. SUPER RECOMMENDED
ci hanno fatto fare un giro davanti alla città di bari, per il tempo a disposizione ottimo

The Eolian islands are nice to sail around. Harbours can be expensive like in Salina or buoys in Panarea. Avoid these. There are some nice places to visit, cool views and interesting volcanic activities to witness. The wind is special here and not always very accurate with the forecast do be aware of changes in force and direction.

Very pleasant! Just a little memo that you have to bring food for the captain which I didn't know... No other hidden fees Limitation of the choice of navigation trajectory because of the winds... we had to stay partly in front of resort beaches... you have to be a little lucky to have the right winds to sail exactly where you want.
Éviter les plages achalandées, le but de louer un bateau est d’acceder la ou on ne peut aller en auto.

Catamaran hire in Italy

Charter a catamaran in Italy with or without skipper with SamBoat

Italy is a country in the south of Europe, with a long coastline overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It is a country with a well-known culture and important gastronomy. One of the most important cities is Rome, which is famous for its ancient ruins and monuments. Also, the city of Florence has a huge popularity thanks to the masterpieces it has. Italy is rich in history and worth a visit once in a lifetime.

A unique way to discover Italy is to hire a catamaran and sail its vast coastline. One of the most visited cities is Naples, thanks to its culture and colourful architecture. Relax in the bay onboard a catamaran and enjoy the atmosphere. Spend your holidays sailing the Mediterranean Sea with your group of friends.

You can also hire a sailboat in one of the most famous Italian lakes, for example, Lake Garda. This lake is in the north of Italy and has crystal clear water. You can sail for one or several days. You will always find something interesting like the Roman villages. These villages have an interesting history and architecture. You will not regret sailing in this lake.

Catamaran hire in Italy

If you like to sail for several days, you can hire a catamaran and sail to one of the Italian islands. Create an itinerary to sail to Sicily, where you will find Palermo. One of the most famous cities for its architecture and puppet shows. Visit Mondello beach, famous for its crystal clear waters and fine sand. It is perfect for spending a whole day with your group of friends. Sicily has a lot of hidden beaches, visit them all onboard a catamaran.

Another sailing destination in Italy is the Adriatic coast. Onboard your catamaran you can visit the city of Rimini, famous for its nightlife and bars. Or if you are looking for a place away from the noise, you can sail to Bari and be amazed by the beauty of this city. Chartering a boat in Italy is the best way to visit its cities and discover its secrets.

How much does it cost to hire a catamaran in Italy?

In Italy during the low season, catamaran charter prices start from 270 euros. The prices vary depending on the season. The demand for boat hires increases along with the prices during the high season. The busiest months in Italy start from May to September, have it in mind if you want to avoid the crowd.

To hire and enjoy any of the boats available in the catalogue, we suggest that you start searching two months in advance and start the process immediately. This way you will be sure to hire the catamaran that fits your needs.

Do you need a license to hire a catamaran in Italy?

In Italy, you will require an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) if you plan to sail more than 6 miles beyond shelter. It is recommended to have a nautical curriculum showing that you have previous sailing experience.

If you don't have a license, don't worry, you can still enjoy the sailing experience. You can hire any boat from the catalogue but with a skipper. The skippers can show you the best places wherever you are renting a boat.
