Avec ses 12m et ses 3.90m de large il est particulièrement agréable à vivre, quasiment neuf, il est notamment doté d'un jolie jeux de voiles. Grace à ses 2.10m de tirant d'eau, le Dufour 40 est particulièrement rapide, notamment au près serré! Au cours de l' hiver 2020, plusieurs travaux d'optimisation ont été réalisés, dans l'objectif d'améliorer son confort : chauffage à air pulsé, chauffe-eau de plus grande capacité (40l), , WC électriques, télécommande sans fil du guindeau, hydro-générateur, panneau solaire, HIFI dans le cockpit, hélice tripales Maxpro, ,...
